Joe, so glad that I was able to tell you how much I have been enjoying "Captain's Away". Thanks for the shoutout and hope you enjoyed the concert. Happy I helped end your year on a positive note. Happy New Year to you and yours.
I like to give credit where credit is due. Love your writing. Also, have you tried Yoga for your neck and shoulders? I go to a seniors seated yoga class and it's done wonders for my shoulders.
I lovely summing up; I enjoyed it a lot. I especially related to the point about only being able to control what is in you and what you do—all the rest if not up to us. It reminds you of one of my favorite books, a weird “translation” of the Tao Te Ching called “Getting Right with Tao,” by Ron Hogan. Looking forward to hearing more from you in 2025.
Hi Joe. The podcast that you kindly invited me to take part in, was to my ears, a smash. I thoroughly enjoyed being in it and I really liked A Time and A Place. I know that the creative silo can be deafening. But please please please keep on keepin' on. It's not pottering around to create art. Much as the world would have you think. It's creative work, most frequently, the work that doesn't pay you back in money. It pays you back in joy. Try your very best to take the work=money out of your mind and simply create. I know you. You are at your happiest when you're writing. So please my friend, just do that. And everything else will figure itself out.
Thanks Cathi! I'm so glad you agreed to be on our podcast and even MORE glad that you enjoyed it. I appreciate your kind words and encouragement, which I am taking to heart. Happy New Year! I wish you the best possible 2025.
Really? Nobody else thinks "Captain's Away" is worth reading but me?
Hopefully they do! They're just not as open about it as you and Cathy are!

Thanks again, Cathy! And Happy New Year to you as well!

I might have to give that a try... thanks!

Thanks Tom! I'll check out that book. Happy New Year!
Ah, yes, the Act of Creation. It worked for God; make it work for you. Happy New Year!
And to you, John!
We are reading.. We are just a lot more quiet than in person.
Thanks Neil!
